The
tender white flowers of morning unfold
Cradling newborn droplets of diamond display
Glowing threads of silken web
Weave in and out of the grass bed
Floating leaves fall from above
Streams of red, gold, orange and green
A three dimensional world of infinite grace
Inside, the floor is cold and the doors are
closed
Peoples faces are provoked by monotonous rhythm
To smile, to frown, to stare
Over valued functions distract from the miracles of
free life
Flesh and bone, emotion and thought
Transfixed on solution and importance
"I am no one unless I am seen"
"I am not alive unless I can feel"
"I will draw blood just to know I exist"
"I will build walls around me so I can be safe"
"I will "learn" the inside of these walls so that I
can feel in control"
"I will defend this caged life so I can be my own,
protected in my identity"
This is the fear of being free
Let go of the treasured flesh and sentimental
memories
and glide in the silken wonders of new
beginning
See the tender white flowers of morning unfold
And feel the glowing droplets of diamond
display
This is where life lives...
Before I began questioning everything I knew
Before I doubted my own discovery
Before I valued the false betrayal of ego
I used to be in Love
At night I would lie on the ground and watch this
old tree
It would take a while to let go of my demand to
see|
But when the gentle cool breeze blew my attachment
away
And when the stars made me smile and drift in
peace|
The old tree would come to life|
Fairies illuminated the branches above
The leaves would dance as the light grew
brighter
My heart would skip beats
In that moment past, present and future aligned in
splendid awe|
The sky was touching my outstretched arms
I felt the vastness of infinite space
Share its warmest embrace
Love knows no boundaries,
Love is not designed to be lost or sold to
another
Love cannot judge or be limited
Love is the innocence of being
Love as I feel it, is the highest form of Absolute
gratitude
Rikki Vieira is the daughter
of Nouk and Tomas, authors of
Take Me To Truth, Undoing The
Ego, and her self portraits are featured on the
front and back covers of their book. Rikki chose to
begin her undoing process before her fifteenth
birthday. She took her self to death's door before
renouncing the ego as her god. Her self portrait
was taken at a time when she was emerging from the
shadow of the ego into the light of her true Self.
That was six years ago. She has continued
faithfully to rediscover and connect with her Self,
the Oneness that we all are. Rikki has been a great
teacher to Nouk and Tomas and they think you will
agree that her poem reflects the Light shining
within!
I
would like to add, that Nouk and Tomas' book,
metaphorically speaking, were the hands that I had
to hold on to as I was getting ready to embark on
my journey. Make sure you order a copy of their
book by clicking
