Most people spend their whole life giving meaning to anything they see in the physical world of illusion in order to understand what cannot be understood in the first place. And that is because whatever it is we are seeing with the body's eyes is not real. A Course In Miracles says; "The body is the central figure in the dreaming of the world. There is no dream without it, nor does it exist without the dreams in which it acts as if it were a person to be seen and be believed."

And even when the answers are within, we still look for teachers to lead us to answers that take us further away from the Truth. According to A Course In Miracles the beginning phases of reversing our perception from illusion to reality are often painful. The reason being is the ego knows that once Truth is revealed its death is certain. So the ego will do whatever possible to keep us away from realizing the Truth of who we really are.

By looking up to teachers for answers, since they are also illusions created by the ego, the answers given are not geared towards freedom but towards releasing pain. Although I have covered this before is worth repeating, as pain is temporarily released, we confuse the release of pain with reality. And again, the release of pain is nothing but an illusion employed by the ego to help remind us of the illusion that we are bodies and that the world of form is our home. Since we can't look up to teachers in order to escape from the dream we have created, we need to look for someone or something that could lead us from this illusion to Truth. That would be the Holy Spirit.

A Course In Miracles says; "The goal of truth requires faith. Faith is implicit in the acceptance of the Holy Spirit's purpose, and this faith is all-inclusive. Where the goal of truth is set, there faith must be." Although we always have access to the Holy Spirit because it is a part of us, it is often hard to hear Him because the world of illusion seems so real and its voice is so loud. And since the quality of the Kingdom of God is peace, it must be understood that the only way to enter the kingdom is through the attainment of peace of mind. That's why the course says that that the truth is simple but the ego is complicated. So really the work we are doing is not so much in remembering who we are but in removing the interferences we have created that are in the way of this awareness.

A Course In Miracles says; "The Holy Spirit, Who remembers this for you, merely teaches you how to remove the blocks that stand between you and what you know. His memory is yours." The course also reminds us that the way back home is really simple. And that we need not figure out anything for ourselves but to simply listen and have faith in the Holy Spirit, knowing that It is doing the work for us. That's why the course says; "Forget Him not and He will make every decision for you, for your salvation and peace of God is in you." The way to know if you are letting go and letting God is if you are experiencing peace. If fear is present you are listening to the ego. Only peace can assure you that you are listening to the right Voice. And the only way to have that experience is by letting go of all judgment for that which you judge will seem real to you.

In letting go of judgment we open ourselves to see the Truth; the experience of Oneness. That experience seems to be outside of our present level of awareness for as long as we are sleeping, the dream of separation will seem real to us. Therefore seek not to judge but to experience the love and presence of God, which is exactly what the Holy Spirit is attempting to lead you towards. A Course In Miracles says; "You judge effects, but He has judge their cause. And by His judgment are effects removes."

That is very important to understand because when you react to anything, you are simply being at the mercy of the illusion. In other words you are at the effect of it. The Holy Spirit is not concerned with effects for He knows that none of them are real. His purpose is to work with the cause that created the illusion. We have no access to the cause while we are sleeping because we are the one creating the illusion in the first place. The Holy Spirit on the other hand, dealing with the cause would simply help replace our illusions with more pleasant ones, gently leading us towards our awakening. A Course In Miracles reminds us of the following when dealing with anything that disturbs our peace. It says; "Only in the altar of God will you find peace. And this altar is in you because God put it there. His voice still calls you to return, and He will be heard when you place no other gods before him."

Placing no other gods before Him is basically not giving power to any seeming challenge the illusion may offer. Anything that triggers fear in you is a form of giving power away. The fear or lack of peace is symbolic of a lesser god. If you knew Who your real God is, and had the certainty that He is there for you and with you always, can you think of anything to be fearful of? How about if you knew that you and God are one? Better yet, since everything you see is nothing but a projection coming from you, what if you knew that that which you are afraid of is really yourself?

Whether the illusion is of not enough money, or fear of not being approved of, or fear of dying, whatever the fear may seem to be; by bringing your awareness back to peace you are now allowing the voice of the Holy Spirit to lead you towards your awakening. A Course In Miracles says; "Before you choose to do anything, ask me if your choice is in accord with mine. If you are sure that it is, there is no fear."

After you have done this prayer and have released your problems to the Holy Spirit to interpret them for you, go on with your life and trust that it is being handled. You don't have to use the exact words these prayers suggest. Simply noticed what the prayers are intending to do then substitute the words with ones that may feel right for you. I usually say; "Holy Spirit, I give this to You so that you can interpret it for me for I know that I don't know. All I ask is for is peace of mind." And that's it! Then I either stay in meditation just being at peace or do whatever it is I was doing or feel guided to, trusting it is all being handled. As you do the prayers and the releasing process, keep always reminding yourself that nothing of this world is real; that it is all an illusion. Just keep repeating that to yourself over and over again. As you can see, the process is really simple.

A Course In Miracles says; "It is not difficult to understand the reasons why you do not ask the Holy Spirit to solve all problems for you. He has not greater difficulty in resolving some than others. Every problem is the same to Him, because each one is solved in just the same respect and through the same approach. The aspects that need solving do not change, whatever form the problem seems to take. A problem can appear in many forms, and it will do so while the problem lasts. It serves no purpose to attempt to solve it in a special form. It will recur and then recur again and yet again until it has been answered from all time and will not rise again in any form. And only then are you released from it."

Offer the Holy Spirit all of your decisions, judgments and interpretations for the course says; "...His decisions are reflections of what God knows about you, and in this light, error of any kind becomes impossible. Why would you struggle so frantically to anticipate all you cannot know, when all knowledge lies behind every decision the Holy Spirit makes for you?" Another beautiful line from the course is; "Judgment will always give you false directions, but vision shows where to go. Why should you guess?" You heard it right. Why guess? For all you have to do is to simply let go and let God.
