Although
it may seem as if there are many seeming blocks
that interfere with our peace of mind the only real
one is forgiveness. Forgetting the fact that it's
all an illusion, the reality of it makes us feel as
if we are being done wrong as opposed to accepting
the fact that nothing is being done to us but that
it's all a projection coming from us onto the
screen we call the physical realm. If everything we
see is a projection coming from us, then what we
think is being done by someone else to us is really
being done to us by us.
A Course In Miracles says; "The secret to
salvation is but this: that you are doing this unto
yourself."
So when we see an illusion that seems to be
treating us in ways where we feel like a victim,
first we must understand that we are the one
creating the illusion. From that point, instead of
us trying to interpret the situation, we simply
remember to forgive ourselves for what we have
created and - whatever discomfort we feel - we
offer it to the Holy Spirit to interpret for us;
for only then can true healing and peace of mind
occur. A Course In Miracles says; "Forgiveness
recognizes what you thought your brother did to you
has not occurred. It does not pardon sins and make
them real. It sees there was no sin. And in that
view are all your sins forgiven."
I would like you to pay attention to this line
from the passage; "It does not pardon sins and
make them real." Since nothing is real, there
is nothing to pardon. By pardoning something is to
make something real, according to A Course In
Miracles since we are projecting our guilt and
fears, that which we see in the seeming outside
world is nothing but a projection of our own
consciousness. That's just a creation of the ego so
that blame can then be justified.
You must remember that what you see out there is
simply reflecting back to you what you believe to
be true for you, and/or about you. So if you see
something you don't like, forgive yourself for
creating it because the only way you'll never have
to see it again is not by pardoning others for what
they did not do but by removing their imagined sins
from your own unconscious mind altogether.
Jesus the Christ understood very clearly this
concept of being one with God. The reason why he
did not judge anyone or anything is because he knew
that if what he was seeing was a projection of his
unconscious mind outward, in other words himself
disguised as something or someone else, the things
he believed to be true about others were nothing
but reflections of the things he believed to be
true about himself. So he would see everyone as
perfect whole and complete, being one with God
without sin.
A Course In Miracles says; "For you can teach
him only that he is as you would have him, and what
you choose he be is but your choice for you."
So if you see others as guilty, what that really
means is that you are the guilty one projecting
your guilt unto what appears to be another. If you
see others as innocent, then the same is true for
you. And by the way that's why Jesus was able to
forgive for he knew that in forgiving others all he
was doing was forgiving himself.
