What Happens When You Let God

"My life purpose is to assist people in transcending the illusion of the physical realm and to help them surrender to the Power within which guides their lives easily and effortlessly in order to experience their True Self. And with this website my mission is to create an environment where people can experience the Divine Love of our Creator. A place where if doubt, fear or worry sets in, they can be reminded of who they really are." - Nick Arandes

September 11

September 11, 9-11September 11, 2001 is a day that will remain in our memory forever. Where loved ones were gone, but also where people realized that we are all one big family, children of the same Creator.

It was as if a new Berlin wall came down. Even for those few moments, the dream of Dr. Martin Luther Kings, Jr., Buddha, Gandhi, Jesus, and every master, saint, savior and soul who have touched our lives have come to pass.

Then, something happened. Pride, anger, resentment took over. And all of a sudden a new war was born. Not only a war among nations, but also amongst ourselves. We forgot the lesson of that day and brought ourselves down to the level of the beast.

Songs were written about heroes, but not about transformation. Somewhere deep within my soul I knew I had to express how I felt. So I did it through a song. This is a free download and the lyrics are below.

"I just listened to your September 11 song and it is really beautiful!  You did such a wonderful job of capturing the feelings that so many people have about what happened on September 11, 2001."
-T. F. Lousiville, KY

"Dear Nick, what a beautiful song about Sep 11. Thank you for sharing your insights, inspiration and music with us. God Bless" -Linda Sands

Lyrics & Music by Nick Arandes

To this day I can't believe
what I was seeing.
Early morning
right on my backyard.

People running everywhere
and voices screaming.
What can I do?
Let me hold your hand.

Questions asked that will remain unanswered.
Nations under God sharing our sadness,
with our fists pointing to heaven
asking why?

If there is a God tell me where are you?
Cause I'm blinded by this darkness
that surrounds my heart and all I can
think of is fight.

Chorus
But I know that if we pull ourselves together.
We shall overcome the sadness from our past.
With the love that still remain inside us
here's what we can do.

Let's just hold each other closer
and create a whole new world
for me and you.

When I get down on my knees
and say a prayer.
I sometimes wonder
if someone will hear it.

Even though we feel our anger
and despair.
We must never
let them brake our spirit.

Have we learned what are the consequences
of believes that only put up fences
separating you and me
from every one?

What will need to happen so that nations
get rid of the idea of separation
and begin to realize
that we are one?

Chorus

I can't help it
but to feel the way I do
deep down inside

God please help me
to forever wipe the tears
of my eyes.

I'm still sitting here alone saying my prayers.
If someone listens answer me tonight.
